TFD-Medical together with Straumann-Zinedent office in Turkey unhesitatingly prepared second training session in March 2020 that comprised of three dentists from both Arusha and Dar Es Salaam.
A three day implantology training was delivered in Kayseri and Ankara.Since they were few, these dentists got a luckier training by doing face-to-face training with tutors and professional dentists under Straumann-Zinedent in Turkey. The training increased the number of professional dentists using Straumann-Zinedent implants in Tanzania to 8 from 5 different clinics.
First session involved theoretical knowledge of Straumann-Zinedent implants including introduction and historical background of the implant. It also enriched dentists with both Surgical and prosthetic procedural knowledge
The second part of the training was Hands-on practice that involved two patients that were prepared for live surgery and implant treatment. This session allowed dentists to explore more and deepen their knowledge on surgical and prosthetic procedures. It was done in Kayseri for two days.
After intensive days of theoretical and practical sessions, they were taken to Capaddocia, one of the most attractive cities in Turkey for a site visit. From Capadokya, they headed back to Istanbul for site seeing and travel back to Tanzania.
